Millsaps confirms championship runner-up slot

JGRMX Yamaha's Davi Millsaps has taken his YZ450F to second place in the 2012 AMA Supercross series - also an FIM World Championship - after finishing as runner-up at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas for the final round of seventeen last Saturday.

The 24 year old rode to his fifth podium finish of the season ahead of Justin Brayton who was his nearest threat to the number two plate.

Millsaps almost wins at Salt Lake City

JGRMX's Davi Millsaps led for virtually the entire main event at the ¬Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City for the penultimate round of the AMA SX series but missed out his first victory on the YZ450F after running into backmarkers with two laps remaining. In front of more than 40,000 spectators the 24 year old was unlucky to miss the top step and was pipped to the line by Ryan Dungey.

Millsaps takes 5th in Seattle as Sipes wins with YZ250F

The fifteenth round of the AMA SX series, also an FIM World Championship, took place in in front of more than 52,000 spectators at the open-air CenturyLink Field in Seattle and JGRMX's David Millsaps grabbed fifth position in the SX class while Justin Sipes returned with a bang from injury to pick up his first victory in the West Coast Lites category.

Across a damp and rough layout Millsaps pushed on towards his sixth top five finish of the season after almost being hit by champion Ryan Villopoto on the first lap.

Millsaps takes sixth in New Orleans

Yamaha captured two positions in the top seven of the fourteenth round of the AMA Supercross series (also and FIM World Championship) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans last weekend. Watched by more than 33,000 spectators JGRMX's Davi Millsaps again demonstrated his decent speed and form this season by recovering from a first corner crash in the 20 lap main event to charge back to 6th place.

Third podium of the season for Millsaps

JGRMX's Davi Millsaps posted his best result of the 2012 AMA Supercross series (also an FIM World Championship) when he secured second position at the thirteenth round of seventeen at the Reliant Stadium in Houston.

Millsaps guided his YZ450F to yet another holeshot in front of almost 49,000 spectators and although he was powerless to prevent champion Ryan Villopoto surging ahead on the first lap he settled into a rhythm to finish over four seconds ahead of Jake Weimer.

AMA-SX: Millsaps grabs 4th in Toronto

JGRMX's Davi Millsaps was the sole representative for his team on the only trip outside of the USA for the AMA Supercross series (also an FIM World Championship) as the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada hosted the twelfth round of seventeen. Over 47,000 spectators saw the YZ450F rider again almost grab the holeshot for the twenty lap main event and the 24 year old was in contention for another podium finish before going onto secure fourth position and take his fourth top five result of the campaign.

Millsaps grabs second podium in a row

A Yamaha YZ450F made the podium of the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship (also an FIM series) for the seventh time this season. Davi Millsaps grabbed his second trophy in a row by finishing in third position in front of almost 60,000 spectators at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for what was round eleven of seventeen.

Millsaps battled with Brett Metcalfe and Mike Alessi behind points leader and defending Champion Ryan Villopoto across what was a tight and slippery course deep in America's motor racing mecca.

Fantastic 1-2 for JGRMX at Daytona SX mudbath

James Stewart took his JGRMX Yamaha YZ450F to a second AMA Supercross victory of the season in extremely difficult conditions at Daytona for round ten of seventeen in the series (also an FIM World Championship).

The former champion finished on top of the podium after triumphing through a shortened Main Event (sixteen laps instead of the normal twenty) that was blighted by heavy rainfall and saw the elongated circuit in the Daytona Motor Speedway infield become rough, choppy and virtually flooded.

AMA-SX: Stewart charges back to 5th in St Louis

JGRMX Yamaha's James Stewart entertained more than 59,000 fans at the Edward Jones Dome in St Louis last Saturday as the former champion charged back from a first lap crash to classify fifth in what was the ninth round of seventeen in the AMA SX/FIM World Championship series.

Fourth podium of the season for Stewart

JGRMX's James Stewart walked the AMA Supercross (also an FIM World Championship) SX podium for the fourth time this season and from eight events run so far in the seventeen round series at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta last Saturday. The former champion was joined at the top of the classification by team-mate Davi Millsaps who scored fourth place in front of a massive crowd that numbered over 70,000.
